We collect what we need to run Launchef and nothing to sell. Here's what that is and what you can do about it.
What we collect
Your account: your email address, name, username and profile picture (from Google if you sign in with it), plus anything you add to your profile, such as a bio, website, location and social links.
What you do here: launches, images, posts, comments, messages, upvotes, ratings, saves, follows and reports. Most of it is public by design; messages are only visible to the people in the conversation.
Visits: pages viewed, launch views and clicks, and where a visit came from, counted without tracking cookies. Visitors are told apart by a hash of their IP address and browser, which we don't store as such. Makers see these numbers in their launch's analytics, never who you are.
Cookies and storage
One cookie keeps you signed in. Your browser also remembers a few conveniences on your own device, like light mode or an unsent launch draft. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Emails
We email sign-in codes, and, if you leave them on, notifications and a weekly digest. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe, and Settings lets you choose which ones you get.
Who else handles it
We use service providers to run the site: hosting and a database, image storage and delivery, Cloudflare for network protection, an email delivery service, and Google if you choose to sign in with it. They process data only to provide their service to us. We don't sell your data or share it for advertising.
Your choices
From Settings you can change your email preferences, download a copy of your data, and delete your account. Deleting it removes your profile and everything you posted; we keep only what the law requires.
You can block people, and report content or launches that break the rules.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll say so on the site before it applies.
