Grafana is an open-source observability and dashboarding tool, with a hosted version called Grafana Cloud, used by engineering and operations teams to monitor systems. It brings metrics, logs, traces and profiles together so teams can see how their software and infrastructure behave. Grafana is known for flexible dashboards that pull data from many sources, and the cloud platform is built around open standards such as OpenTelemetry to reduce vendor lock-in. Recent additions include an AI assistant for exploring telemetry, guided investigations for finding root causes, monitoring for production AI agents, and adaptive telemetry features that aggregate low-value data to keep storage costs down.
