A truly independent web browser
Ladybird is an independent, open-source web browser built on a new browser engine written from scratch. It is aimed at people who want an alternative to browsers based on Chromium, WebKit or Gecko, and at developers interested in web standards. The project is backed by a US non-profit and does not take funding tied to search deals or advertising, aiming to stay free of conflicts of interest. Ladybird grew out of the SerenityOS project and implements HTML, CSS and JavaScript directly from web specifications. It is still in development, with an initial alpha release planned for macOS and Linux.
