Organized team chat with threads
Zulip is an open-source team chat application for distributed teams, companies, research groups and open-source communities. It is available as a hosted service or can be self-hosted. Its main difference from most chat tools is the threading model: every message in a channel belongs to a named topic, so several conversations can run in parallel without getting mixed together. This makes it practical to catch up on discussions asynchronously and to follow only the threads that matter. Zulip offers apps for desktop and mobile, integrations with many developer tools and support for large organizations.
