Free, open-source audio editor
Audacity is a free, open-source audio editor and recorder for Windows, macOS and Linux. It is used by podcasters, musicians, students and anyone who needs to capture or clean up sound. Audacity records from microphones and other inputs and offers multitrack editing, effects, noise reduction and export to common formats. Version 4 brings a redesigned interface, customizable workspaces and productivity improvements. Optional add-on bundles extend it with tools such as voice cleanup, transcription and separating different speakers onto their own tracks.
