A fast, native, feature-rich terminal
Ghostty is a terminal emulator for developers on macOS and Linux. It is open source and was created by Mitchell Hashimoto, co-founder of HashiCorp. Ghostty aims to combine speed, a broad feature set and a native feel, rather than trading one off against the others. It renders with the GPU and uses each platform's own interface toolkit, so tabs, splits and windows behave like those in other native apps. It supports modern terminal capabilities, extensive configuration and hundreds of built-in themes, and is written mostly in Zig.
