Open-source fullstack Next.js framework
Payload is a headless, open-source content management system and app framework built with TypeScript and React. It is aimed at developers building websites and apps on Next.js, while also giving marketers and editors a friendly admin interface. Payload follows a code-first approach: content models, access control and logic are defined in code, and the admin panel and APIs are generated from that configuration. It installs directly into a Next.js project, so the back end and front end can live in one codebase. This makes it usable for anything from a marketing site to a custom application, and it is designed to work well with AI coding tools.
