Open-source, typo-tolerant search engine
Typesense is a search engine, released as open source, for developers who need fast search in websites and applications. It is often chosen as a simpler alternative to Elasticsearch and a self-hostable alternative to Algolia. The engine keeps its index in memory and returns results quickly, tolerating typos so that misspelled queries still find relevant records. It supports faceting, filtering, sorting, geo search and synonyms, as well as vector and semantic search for AI features. Developers interact with it through a straightforward API, and it can run on their own servers or on the managed Typesense Cloud.
