Next-generation frontend tooling
Vite is an open-source frontend build tool and development server for modern web applications. It is used by developers working with frameworks such as Vue, React, Svelte and others, and serves as the foundation for many meta-frameworks. During development, Vite serves source files over native ES modules and pre-bundles dependencies, so the dev server starts quickly and hot module replacement updates the page almost immediately after a file is saved. TypeScript, JSX, CSS and WebAssembly work with little setup, and a plugin system extends it further. For production builds it uses Rolldown, with tree-shaking, minification and control over chunk splitting.
